LIFE SCAPE Releases Kagemusha, a macOS App That Lets AI Agents Operate Signed-In Web Services in Separate App Windows

The Tokyo software company's app packages each website as its own Mac app, limiting an AI agent's access to the one service it is given

TOKYO, JAPAN, September 30, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- LIFE SCAPE, K.K., a Tokyo-based software company, has released Kagemusha, a macOS application that packages each website as a standalone Mac app and allows AI agents such as Claude Code to operate those apps while the user stays signed in.

The release addresses a practical problem that has grown with the use of AI agents in daily work. Many business tasks take place in web dashboards that require a login, and until now, giving an AI agent access to them has involved trade-offs.

When an AI agent operates the screen directly, it takes control of the mouse and keyboard, and only one task can run at a time. When it operates the user's everyday browser, every open tab and every signed-in account falls within its reach. When the browser is relaunched in automation mode, the browser already in use has to be closed to reuse a signed-in profile, and Google may refuse the sign-in because the browser "may not be secure."

Kagemusha takes a different approach. Each service runs in its own browser, packaged as a Mac app with a separate process, a separate login and a separate control endpoint. An AI agent given access to one app, such as a payments dashboard, cannot reach any other service.

AI control can be enabled or disabled for each app. The control endpoint is only available on the local Mac and cannot be reached from the network. While an AI agent works, the app does not move to the front, and the user's other windows remain as they are.

Because each app is separate, several AI tasks can run at the same time. In a measurement by LIFE SCAPE, reading a different page in each of three apps took 10.2 seconds when done one after another and 6.4 seconds when done in parallel.

Kagemusha detects the AI agents installed on the Mac and lists them under "AI Integration" in its sidebar. Selecting "Install" writes the instructions and tools that the agent needs to find and connect to the apps. LIFE SCAPE has confirmed that the setup works with Claude Code, Codex, agy (Antigravity CLI) and Grok.

The apps also function as ordinary Mac apps. Kagemusha includes presets for more than 300 web services, supports Chrome Web Store extensions, keeps cookies and logins separate for each app, and re-synchronizes apps automatically after browser updates.

Kagemusha runs on macOS 12 or later with Chrome or another Chromium-based browser, and its interface is available in 32 languages. It is free for up to three apps, including AI control. Kagemusha Pro, a one-time purchase of $24.99, removes the limit on the number of apps.
